There are quite a few Buddhist temples spreading in Shanghai, among which Jade Buddha Temple and Jin’an Temple are two most famous one, our Buddhist tour in Shanghai will take you visit those two historical temples.
Jade Buddha Temple is well known both in China and in Southeast Asia. Known from the name, the temple is so called because of two Jade Buddha Statues, one was 1.9 meters tall in a sitting posture, and the other one was 1 meter long in a reclining posture.
Jin’an Temple have a recent renovation in 2008, it is located in the busy West Nanjing Road, and keep quiet for itself. We can have a special vegetarian lunch in the restaurant of the temple, it is said the vegetarian menu here is special made for healthy consideration.
After lunch, let’s walk to Yuyuan Garden and Shanghai Old Street, two most worth visiting places in the city.
